Barracuda Swimming has been a part of the Wenatchee Valley for 30 years. Barracudas originated in 1976 as a summer-only program called the Eastmont Swim Team. When the pool was covered in the late seventies, the Eastmont Swim Team became a year-round USA program called the Barracudas. Coaches Jack and Jeanne Davisson led the Cudas to multiple championships through the 80's, 90's and into the 21st century. In 2005, the Davisson's handed the reins to new coach Bob Hill.
Barracuda Swimming accepts new swimmer registrations all year long.
Current news is posted below. Please take a moment to browse the many aspects of the site!
Here is the September Schedule. It was done with just the CUDA team in mind because we haven't finished the discussion about the merger yet. This may be suject to change if the talks conclude with a merger result.
Sorry for the lack of updates. Here's the 2010 August Practice Schedule!

A little late on this, although you should have received it in the e-mail newsletter, too!
Click "Read More" below to continue this post (after the downloads) to see the warm up times by session. Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes before the meet starts to be ready for warm up. Also, it looks like our weather might not change much, so extra towels and warm clothes + blankets to hang out in would be smart to have. Think sun. Couldn't hurt.

Congratulations!
April was an amazing month for our CUDAs when it came to attendance. We had 10 athletes make 100% of their workouts for the month, 3 from Age Group, 3 from Senior, and 4 from Junior. I believe that is a record number for the team. Here are the swimmers:
Evan Vandersluis, David Vandersluis, Christian Cutter, Charlie Cutter, Jared Vargas, Adrian Marquis, Rebecca Bay, Nathan Mesler, Alexis Raber, and Matthew Townliand.
Congratulations kids, you are 100% CUDA.
The attached meet information is for the Open Water meet in Clarkston on Saturday, July 3rd.
I need this form and the check for entries (made out to LCN for $35.00). I have all the CUDA athlete's registration cards with me and will be sending a copy of each entered swimmer with the entries.
I changed the Novice Practices to the Outdoor Pool from 6:30 - 7:00 PM because thats when Coach Debbie will be there. Please note the schedule for Novice practices will now be Mon, Tues, Thurs.
I added a Saturday practice for Age Group swimmers in the Outdoor Pool. This will be open to all Age Group Blue and Age Group Yellow swimmers who would like to get one long course practice in per week. However, athletes in this group will still be limited to no more than 5 workouts per week ( I don't want anyone in those groups swimming 6 days per week). If a swimmer wants to come Saturdays, they should skip one other day during the week.
Finally, I added a note to Monday, June 7th. We will be holding the Awards Night the night after Apple Capital at the outdoor pool beginning at 6:30 PM. We will probably get in a play around a bit after, giving the kids a chance to recover from the weekend.
