Meets
Swim meets are fun and rewarding!Meets are
where all the dedication and hard work pay off.
Swimmers learn quickly about self motivation and
goal setting. The sport of swimming teaches
dedication and discipline through the rewards
that students receive when they improve upon
their own best times. As we all know improvement
in life comes from hard work and trying your best!
As swimmers become friends the social aspect of
attending a meet is just as fun and rewarding as
competing against the clock.
The meets are divided into three categories, which are clearly marked on the
meet schedule. There are a few meets per year that we encourage all
swimmers to be a part of so that everyone experiences the fun and rewarding
team part of swimming. More information on swim meets can be found in the
new swimmer information packet.
Families may choose to attend just one day of a meet (except for meets in
BLUE – where we want everyone to support the “team” aspect of a meet), in
order to keep the travel costs low.
Barracudas host three meets per year: Apple Capital in June, AB
Championships in July and Christmas Invite in December. Our swim team has
a reputation for organizing fun, successful meets. We are proud of our
accomplishments when it comes to running meets. To continue our tradition
of success we need the help of all parents. Please review the Meet

How to Enter A Swim Meet:
Email Coach Bob or fill out the meet entry form with the days you are planning
on attending and what events your child would like to swim , or you can just let
Coach Bob choose the events.
Simply, verbally telling Coach Bob that you intend to swim in a meet is not
sufficient. Meet entries must be received in writing either via e-mail or letter.
There is a receptacle at the EYAC pool for meet entry letters.
